March 3 – 10 am.  – What’s For Dinner… Planning, Preparing, and Planting Your Vegetable Garden!

                                         Presented by Master Gardener Barb Phillips

 

April 21 – 9:30 am. –  Making Your Backyard A Certified Wildlife Habitat

                                           Presented by Tim Brugeman, in honor of Earth Day

                    11:00 am.- Selecting the Right Tree for your Landscape

                                           Presented by Tim Brugeman, in honor of Arbor Day

 

April 28 – 10 am -   Spice Up Your Life with your own Fresh Ingredients…Herbs!

                                      Presented by Master Gardener  Sharon Hammer Baker

 

May 12                 Let’s Go Gardening !   At this annual event,  Master Gardeners will be present throughout the day to answer your gardening questions!                        

 

May 19 – 10 am – 4 pm – “Speed Landscaping Help” - 15 minutes of FREE  advice from a landscape designer.  MUST call for an appointment!  Bring your pics and questions for quick ideas for a particular area.  Longer consultations in-store or on-site may be arranged for a fee.  Call for an appointment and fee schedule.

 

June 2 – 10 am - For the Love of Roses!     Tips for selection and care of roses.

                                 Presented by Master Gardener  Larry Schock

 

Sept. 8 – 10 am – Glorious Hydrangea  - Tips for choosing and caring for those beautiful hydrangea plants!

                                  Presented by Master Gardener Donna Johnson

 

Oct. 6 – 10 am – Doctor Your Gardens for Fall    Tips for taking care of your garden as you go into winter; disease controls; how to best bring plants in to over-winter.

                                Presented by Master Gardener  Patrick Flinn

Recycling Days Planned for 2012!

Last year, we participated in a program with the Master Gardeners and H&O  to encourage recycling in Hancock County, especially concentrating on all of those plastic plant containers that seem to accumulate during the planting season.We are planning to provide you with that service again this year.  Exact dates will be announced.
